EVENTS

The project is developed in collaboration with Audiokiosk & Kaschemme Basel and is aimed at newcomer bands and artists from across Switzerland.

Selected acts will perform at Kaschemme, an established club with professional production. In addition to the live performance, participants gain access to coaching, guidance, and professional music-industry structures, with the possibility of longer-term collaboration with Audiokiosk (e.g. booking, label, or agency services).

This format is aimed at acts who are just starting out and want to develop their artistic work in a professional yet accessible environment.

Our goals

• To create pathways to professional opportunities within the music industry.
• Support newcomer acts in their artistic and professional development.
• Foster sustainable networking through an Artist Pool for future editions of Under the Counter.
• Curating a diverse line-up with balanced FINTA* representation

Participation Requirements

The act…

• is a newcomer band or solo project based in Switzerland
• demonstrates a serious commitment to artistic development
•has sufficient original material for a live set of at least 30 minutes
•is available on March 27, 2026

All genres are welcome, ranging from rock and pop to hip-hop, as well as electronic, hybrid, and experimental formats.

Acts not selected for the kick-off event on 27 March 2026 will be included in an artist pool and considered for future editions of the series.
